If you haven’t been to one of these yet, go now. It kicks Subway’s, Jimmy John’s, and any other sandwich place’s ass. Toasted and quick this place is always great for lunch. Most are VERY packed so be prepared to wait. Also, try the fat-free yogurt shakes sometime.

Toasty goodness!

So my review is for Potbelly’s in general and not this particular location, but so far I’ve eaten at 2 Potbelly’s (one in Chicago, and one in the Dulles Airport in Washington DC), and they have both been yummy!

I think there are 2 main things that set Potbelly’s a head above other sandwich shops—they toast their buns, meat, and cheese (like quiznos, i guess, just better), and the hot peppers. The problem I have with quizno’s toasted buns is that their sandwiches are always laden with sauce, so if you don’t eat the sandwich right away, it loses the crispy toastedness. At Potbelly’s, I took my turkey sandwich on the plane, waited about 20 mins, and it was still good!

As for the hot peppers, they totally give the sandwich a kick! I ordered the turkey sandwich, and I usually think turkey sandwiches are quite boring… but the hot peppers definitely gave this turkey sandwich some pizzazz!

They also have a pretty yummy oreo shake, and so far, their service has been fast and cheery. I wish they had Potbelly’s on the west coast, I’d eat it all the time!

Lots of different kinds of meat, very tasty!

I typically don’t get turkey sandwiches b/c they’re boring, but I had a stomachache and wanted to eat something that wouldn’t upset it more. Quite possibly the tastiest turkey breast sandwich I’ve had!

Nothing totally special, but I did enjoy it. I thought it had a good consistency.

Potbelly

This store is located on 1459 W. Taylor Street in downtown Chicago, a block away from Pompei. I did not expect to have a satisfying lunch when I first walked into the store. But after trying one of their sandwiches, I have to say that I’ll be visiting them very soon. Not only was the sandwich good, they even had a live singer singing Christmas songs while we ate.

Two of my friends tried the chicken salad sandwich and both of them liked it.

This is definitely one of the best, if not the best, sandwiches I’ve ever had!! It’s got salami, roast beef, ham and turkey. The only thing I did not have on it was mustard. I am usually not into sandwiches, but I have to admit it was really good!!
