Last Friday night my fiancee and I decided to try this restaraunt and made reservations for 7:30. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in, saw that they had our reservation, and found a place to stand in the lobby and wait.
We stood there in their uncomfortable lobby, with no seating or any other comforts, for 45 minutes. During this time we saw a number of couples who did not appear to have reservations get seated. Initially we thought these were friends of the hosts or owners and maybe they were, but if so they sure had a lot of friends.
At no point were we given an ETA on our table or offered a glass of wine or anything that a normal, customer-service-oriented business ought to do to make a bad situation bearable. We did get a half-hearted apology about half an hour past our reservation time, far too late in my opinion.
My only regret, other than giving Biagio a chance in the first place, is that we waited so long before walking out. We ended up heading a few blocks down Moody St to Solea, got seated right away and had a very nice meal. Needless to say, Biagio has blown their chance at getting our business in the future.
