The all white staff made the

The all white staff made the "authenticity" of the cuisine a bit suspect to me. I was startled when I tasted actual corn in my cornbread. Delicious chicken and dumplings and being a member of their Bourbon Society sounds promising.

Classic Southern with a hip twist

My husband and I have been to Big Jones several times for dinner and have yet to be disappointed. The food is just excellent--I have had the catfish and the shrimp and grits, and they tasted just like home (northern FL), if not better. …

Authentic grits and sweet tea!

My fiance is from the South, and it took a lot of arm twisting just to get him to step into this place that he swore couldn't possibly know the first thing about Southern cooking. But now he brings it up every time we're even thinking…
