Had many great brunches over the last few months at Bistrot Zinc. It’s just far enough away from the Rush/State scene (about 3/4 of a block) to keep all of the tourists away and stay off the hotel concierge’s radar. Phenomenal coffee (has to be good to call it out in a review, right?), great brunch items, and I’ve even had 2 nice authentic french entrees (croque monsieur was really tasty, and fit for 2). The atmosphere is nice, and i love it in the summer when they are able to blow out the front windows (like a lot of restaurants in the city, bit it’s something i love).
Very rich hollandaise sauce, great poached eggs, nice breakfast potatoes, and of course…the coffee!
