This restaurant is hands-down one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of recently visiting in New York. Some of New York’s best food at completely reasonable prices…with none of the snobbery. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. My friend and I tried a sampling of the Jerk chicken, chorizo, tuna tartare, skirt steak, and shrimp. Each recipe must have been creatively tested, for each was an interesting dish composed of unusual yet very tasty combinations— the chorizo came with figs and the tuna tartare with raisins, for example. I would visit again in a heartbeat!

My boyfriend and I ate here last week and I cant believe a place like this can exist, especially with the ridiculously low prices they are charging. We had frozen margaritas for only $3 and they were giving Stella beer away for FREE with dinner. The atmosphere is really warm and energetic, so with those prices, they could have burned the food and it still wouldnt have been a bad experience – lol

The food was the biggest surprise, My boyfriend had the churasco steak and it was one of the biggest pieces of meat I have ever seen and it was only $19..I had the grilled salmon and it was amazing, especially with whatever sauce they put on it. the food has a bit of a Carribean flair, but most of the menu is just good american food, but it definitely tasted better than most times I have seen it prepared in the past.

an extra surprise was the live jazz, there was no cover charge and the band was really good.

so, for about $50, we had a ton of drinks, a huge amount of food and live music, I really dont know how these guys will stay in business, but I will keep referring my friends here to make sure we can keep a place like this in the neighborhood
