Don Francesco's

Not cheap but very good. It is one of my favourites and it must rate amongst the best in town as it routinely attracts some big Hollywood stars, I think they know good food when they find it. Waiters are professional, none of this “Hi I’m Chuck, I’ll be your waitperson” Also no fishing for tips which is nice after the “Do you need change?” question that is all too common in other places.

What I ate:

Rack of lamb

Beautifully presented and perfectly prepared, one of the best I’ve had in Vancouver, it may even be the best.
Lobster bisque

I am certain this is the best in Vancouver, other “fine” restaurants aren’t even close on this one.
Tiramisu

Very good, only edged out slightly by the one I used to order at Cin Cin years ago but the lady pastry chef moved on and I don’t know where.
