They have awesome and cheap Japanese food. The sushi is excellent for the price you pay. Some of their other dishes are quite good (seaweed salad with avocado, agedashi tofu), but their curry dishes can be quite awful… sorry to say, but the panko crusted chicken cutlets that I make are SOOOO much better than theirs. The curry base? Meh…

Service is alright. Food always arrive at a reasonable amount of time even when it’s packed. You may not get another serving of greet tea though.

I would have given a 3 if I wrote this review right after that bad curry experience. But forget it, I get pretty good food for that value. :)

I’ve been here three times and every time, the food (sushi, sashimi, tempura, rice bowls…) was so yummy and satisfying! And not too expensive either. The atmosphere is nice and casual, a good place for a first date or with a small group of friends.

After a recent renovation, prices have gone up, but you can still get 24 pieces of nigiri for $30. You can also pick all your own pieces with salmon and yellowtail usually the standouts for me. The fish quality can range from good to excellent, but in the dozens of times I’ve been here, I’ve never had a bad meal. I’m disappointed that the avocado salad has rocketed in price from $4 to $7.50, but it is tasty with lots of roe.

Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, CHEAP sushi. And it’s not cheap in that grocery store sushi way; it’s still good, but it’s cheap! And when you’re stuffed full of sushi, work off those extra pounds by walking around the mall and shopping for Japanese products with weird names.
