Nice atmosphere. Sat out front in their outdoor seating. The food was good, but only average. Not the best bbq I’ve had. The pulled pork I had was dry and my friend was a bit disappointed by the rib sampler. They also have jazz downstairs which seems pretty cool.
Dishes I tried:
Warm Barbecued Potato Chips
Tasty combo of bbq chips and a blue cheese dip
Pulled Pork Platter with Pit Beans, Slaw and Homemade White Bread
Pork was a little dry and could have used a bit more sauce/flavor. Sides were good. I’m not usually a big fan of slaw, but their take on it was enjoyable.

This is the best BBQ ribs I have outside of Texas. The sauce is tasty, ribs are juicy, the price is reasonable with tons of food. Even the chipotle wings are excellent, big plum juicy wings with beer is heaven. If you like jazz, go to the jazz standard for the jazz show along with the ribs. What more can you ask for?

This is the best place to get BBQ ribs in NYC. There’s a bunch of choices to choose from. Whenever I come here, I usually get the Memphis Babyback Ribs(lean) and sometimes the St. Louis Spareribs(marbled). As for sides, I LOVE the sweet potato fries with maple dip. I always ask for extra maple dip (sort of sour cream meets maple syrup…you gotta try it). As for dessert, I always order the sticky toffee pudding. Yum!!!!

You may have a hard time getting a seat . . .or finding finger Mac n’ Cheese in the city. Blue Smoke’s rendition is (predictably) smokey . . . and just a precursor to the many savory BBQ dishes populating the menu. The rib sampler offers the K.C., Carolina, and Texas renditions, while the Chipotle Chicken Wings appetizer is an entree in itself. Whatever you order, try one of their Bourbon selections or one of their potently sweet margaritas (Blood Orange especially)
