Four stars for tasty BBQ, easy/convenient parking, friendly customer service, and a bright/clean interior space.
The people who run this place are very friendly and make you feel good about eating at their restaurant, unlike other BBQ places in the surrounding area.
My buddy ran into the owner of this place while ordering food at Pollos Asados Vick’s (has one review on Yelp) in Compton, because so many CPT Sheriff’s eat there. Anyway, the owner of Vick’s introduced my friend to the Bodacious Q owner, thus the connection was made. When he told me about it, I thought it was fairly close to work and went for lunch.
I was hungry. I wanted to order the full dinner for $12, but I thought I would look like a pig eating all that food at my desk back at the plant. So I just got the lunch special and opted for an additional small side. I know my office mates were jealous, because it smelled so good. The lunch special as shown on the menu comes with two pork ribs, a beef link, and a small side. Mine was potatoe salad which was good as opposed to the reviewer below. The additional side was baked beans which started out good, but lost it’s flavor as I went through it. I really liked the sauce on the ribs and link.
I’m glad I have another option for lunch around work now. As a matter of fact, I just may hit this up again this week.
