This small and busy restaurant just off South Carothers has booth seating, but the best seats in the house are at the rotating sushi bar. (Actually, the bar doesn’t rotate, but various dishes travel around it on a conveyor belt.) You can order from the menu or, if in a hurry, snatch a roll as it goes by. The real entertainment, though, is watching the chefs meticulously craft the rolls; there are two sushi chefs stationed right in front of you at the bar.
I’ve only had the crunchy shrimp, spicy tuna and Hawaiian rolls, but all were excellent. They also have teriyaki and fried rice dishes for non-sushi eaters. YUM!
The Hawaiian is a real work of art—fried shrimp, mango, asparagus, and sauces that perfectly complement the sweet/bitter combination of the mango and asparagus. The Hawaiian roll is 12.95 but comes with soup and salad.
