Located on beautiful Madison Square Park, Tabla is a groundbreaking restaurant serving Chef Floyd Cardoz's pioneering New Indian cuisine. With his signature blend of authentic Indian spices and the finest local, seasonal ingredients, Chef Cardoz expertly applies western technique to re-imagine the flavors of his native India. Tabla now offers a new menu that unifies the two formerly separate areas of the restaurant, the Bread Bar and the Dining room– an exciting combination of both signature and innovative dishes. Available in both the upstairs dining room and main level dining area, Tabla offers a rich selection of ala carte items, as well as a wazwan family style feast and a seasonal tasting menu. Tabla’s award-winning wine list and creative cocktails help to complete the experience at this Flatiron favorite.**If you have a specific dining area preference, please make a note and we will do our best to accommodate.**

leave cost out of the equation for dinner and in return you’ll get the best customer service, juicy foie gras and roasted pig, and a respectable wine list. don’t expect to get much indian out of this self-proclaimed indian-american fusion.

Bread Bar is awesome – great for lunch or a casual but still nice dinner. The best guacamole I’ve ever had. The lamb sandwich is awesome – has potato samosa mashed in with it and a some lime and a nice sauce to drizzle over it. And service is exceptional.

Not Indian, but Indian-American fusion. Basically the prepare some “new American” dishes with an emphasis on Indian flavors. Really good food, not too expensive and some of my favorite wines (Seghasio, Foley Vineyards).

One other interesting thing about the place is that the menu is prix fixe. For $64 you get your choice of one app, one entree and a desert. It adds a little bit of fun to the experience when you don’t take the price into the equation.

They are also obsessed with customer service. I have probably never been in a restaurant that treated my party so well. For example, my friend ordered a glass of wine and halfway through the glass the waiter replaced it with a brand new glass because he felt that the wine bottle he had poured it from had been open for too long.
