they have fried shrimp and fried fish and shrimp and fried shrimp and lobster and fried fries and shrimp … do you see a trend here. food is not bad by in large it is just fried. a bit pricey for what you get.service is good. lots of movie kitch to look t and play with. go once to say you have.

I’ve been to Bubba Gumps a few times. Every time I go I always think about the Forrest Gump movie which I love. The last time I was here I celebrated my birthday there. The service is excellent. Every tabe has 2 signs. One is call “Run Forrest Run” and the other “Stop Forrest Stop”. You keep it on Run Forrest Run if you are okay. But if you need anything, you switch it to “Stop Forrest Stop” and one of the waiters will stop and give you what you need. I like the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the location ( it’s over by Queen Mary and the Long Beach Aquarium).

The place is great, the decor is fun because if you liked the movie you’ll love the atmosphere. That said the menu is pretty limited and the portion size has gotten smaller. I’ve been here 3 times, but only once in the last 6 months. I’ve always ordered the same item and I swear the prvious two time the portions were alot larger than this last time. My co-workers and I went to celebrate a birthday. Some had been there and other hadn’t. But we all came to the same conclusion the portion size for the amount that you pay was definitely skewed. Everyone had different things and everyone complained about the portions. One of my co-workers said his lunch was like an appetizer, we all agreed. We even joked that due to the economy portion size has been reduced and the prices have gone up. Hopefully the economy gets better and portion size comes back to pre-depression era standards. Or hopefully Forest catches another large load of shrimp and doesn’t raise the price on the meals.

I went to the Long Beach location. I was happy they honored my request and instead of chicken strips made my son grilled chicken. I think a lot of people liked the movie and if you love fried foods (we all do to some extent) you should try.
