From the Restaurant
Desis were the original settlers from India. They worked hard and had a reputation for being dedicated employees. Desis faced many challenges icluding racism, poor housing, poor nutrition, and of course a language barrier. But through all this adversity came strength. Today's Desis are flourishing and integral part of Canada's social and economic fabric. Food is a great source of fabric for Desis who love to socialize. Junction is where two things join or meet. Desis value family and friends, they love to get together with them and enjoy Desi foods. These foods bring back memories of life back home where aromatic spices, succulent fruits, crisp ripe vegetables and fresh meats make every meal most enjoyable for all friends and family. Desi Downtown is the heart of all Desis; fresh homemade meals in a warm friendly atmosphere shared by friends and family.
