My daughter and I recently enjoyed a delicious dinner at Mitzel’s in Fife. We just kind of happened upon it and were very pleasantly surprised. We started with a cup of Ivar’s clam chowder and a green salad with honey mustard dressing. Both were delicious. The salad was especially juicy and crisp. My daughter ordered the roast turkey from the kids’ menu. I think it was only $3.99 and it was very good. They roast their own turkey every day right there on site and it’s very good. Anyway, her kids’ meal included sliced turkey, sage dressing and delicious gravy. I swear the gravy had to have been made with the pan drippings from the turkeys they roast there on a daily basis. It was superb gravy, possibly the best I’ve ever had! I had a monte cristo sandwich which was also made with their fresh roasted turkey. For dessert my daughter had a root beer float and I had a slice of what I think is called raspberry avalanche cake. Oh my gosh! It was delicious! Delicious! Our waitress Crystal was one of the very best waitresses I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to go back.
