great experience

I liked the place… We made reservations for 4:30pm on Sunday.

When we arrived, we were seated right away and was given our menus, and water instantly.

The service was excellent! Our server came by to check on us every 5-10 minutes and refilling our glasses with wine so it’s never empty. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very trendy…

The food was good. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food, it pretty much came out 10 minutes after we were finished with our appetizers which included the calamari and the carpaccio.

In terms of tastes, I ordered the Filetto al Barolo 100% natural, hormone-free 21-day aged angus beef tenderloin. Barolo wine sauce. It’s small, but it’s very very tender and juicy all around!

As for dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu, while my friends ordered the cheesecake and the Finishing up the Pera al Vino Bianco e Cioccolato Poached pear with chocolate sauce and hazelnut gelato.

I did not try the poached pear and hazelnut gelato, however I did manage to steal a bite off the cheesecake! The cheesecake is very soft and non-american sweet like! It resembles nothing of the cheesecakes you would buy from cheesecake factory or anywhere else. IT’s taste is very good!

Overall the experience was awesome! And I’d return here in the near future.

p.s. look at photos I uploaded.

Nice, Trendy and Romantic

I came to this restaurant with family last week. We were pretty impressed with its decoration and service. Our server was very friendly.

Food-wise, I personally think it’s a miss or hit. My sister’s dish was really good while my duck config dish was just ok. Hence, I gave it a 3 star. I would bump the rating up to 4 stars if the dish quality is more consistent.

Extras:

Back to test another couple items on the menu,...

Back to test another couple items on the menu, Rigatoni al Sugo di Carne, and Risotto.

Rigatoni al Sugo di Carne: Rigatoni with a tomato and ground veal and beef filet. Okay missing something, we thought an aromatic. Presentation – Good, Taste – Fair, Ingredient Quality – Good, Preperation -Good. We will reorder

Risotto – mushroom risotto. The risotto arrived in a clump, immobile and with to much butter. Presentation – Fair, Taste – Good, Preperation – Poor. We will not be reordering.

Service: Elusive, quiet, inattentive, but acurate. When asking for drink variations the server vocalized less than appropriate assumptions.

In the continuing saga we returned to sample the bar menu...

In the continuing saga we returned to sample the bar menu again. We tried three dishes: Polipetti e Ceci(baby octopus), Carne Cruda con Rucola e Tartufo (beef carpaccio), and the Escargot.

Polipetti e Ceci $12: Baby octopus, garbanzo beans, fresh herbs and wine reduction, the wine reduction was quite good, onions and beans very nice, but the octopus was tough and chewy. Presentation – Fair, Taste – Fair, Ingredient quality – good, Preparation – poor. We won’t be reordering.

Carne Cruda con Rucola e Tartufo $13: Beef carpaccio with arugola, parmigiano, capers and black truffle melange, simply not that interesting. Presentation – good, Ingredient quality – good, Taste – fair. We won’t be reordering.

Escargot $13: Snails shelled, served in a butter herb sauce, fennel garnish. Quite good, tender and tasty. Presentation – fair, Taste – good, Preparation – good, Ingredient Quality – good. We will reorder

Service: Prompt, courteous, quiet, and inattentive. We tried vainly to get a spoon for the port reduction, but gave up eventually.

So I start my way thru the bar menu again to see what has changed. I tried the Grilled Caesar and the Hanger Steak.

Grilled Caesar $8 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=189548&id=756883832

It was okay, nothing special. Grilled halves of romain heart, thin sliced parm cheese, croutons, and caesar dressing. Presentation – good, ingredient quality – good, Taste – Nothing interesting, Value – low

I won’t be reordering.

Hanger Steak $14 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=189547&id=756883832

Very good, flavorful, and tender. Steak cooked perfectly, great flavor, and wonderfully juicy. Sliced steak with finger potatoes, green/yellow beans, and carrot halves. Presentation – good, ingredient quality – good, Taste – good

Definitely will reorder.

Service, there have been changes in staff, while not gregarious, it was prompt, attentive and good (this time). Hopefully it will be consistent. We will see over time.

Inconsistent Service.

I would love to take people here for important occasions, however the service is wildly inconsistent. One day its excellent, and the next you can’t get someone to acknowledge your presence for 20 minutes.

I had previously tried everything on the bar menu, and found the buffalo burger fantastic, however there have been major changes. The patty previously was wonderfully juicy and flavorful, now it tastes like any other pressed frozen beef patty.

I will make my way through the bar menu again, hopefully the other items have improved as much as the buffallo burger has fallen.
