Fun for families

We come here a lot with the kids. It’s fun picking your sushi plates from the boats that float around in front of the bar. The sushi is good. The only downside is that after a couple of trips around the big oval bar, sushi plates tend to dry out a little. So, go when they are really busy—everything is fresher then. The chefs are always happy to get you a particular item if you don’t see it on a boat. Tip: try the specialty rolls on the whiteboard on the wall. The spider roll was really different and delicious.

Bentos and sushi boats

Isobune is my favorite sushi restaurant in Burlingame. If you’re there for lunch, the bento box is a great deal and has a good combo of tuna sashimi, tempura, soup, and more! I usually sit by the bar so I can grab sushi from the sushi boats, but there are also tables if you’re there with a big group.
