My wife and I visited the Lotus House Chinese Eatery in Huntington Beach , ca over the weekend. This was the worst restaurant experience I every had. The restaurant is suppose to be Halal but I tend to question whether it really is. Many chinese workers and very little English spoken. When we walked in no one said hello or welcome. The hostess simple pointed to the dinning area. They grunted something and put the bill on the table before we had even ordered. It got worse. There were 3 other groups eating there. All who got better service than me and my wife (that’s not saying much though). We had to repeated ask for water. Once the waitress passed by and yelled out “what else you want” I was ready to leave at that point. It is customary for me to say thank you and your welcome. The waitress came to the table twice and each time I said thank you. She did not respond at all. I observed her wait on the other 2 tables and she did manage a thank you to the other tables. Now the only difference is I am black and the other people were either chinese or white. the restaurant was very dirty and I would not go back again. Save your money.
