Wonderful experience
Our party of 12 adults and 6 children (ages 8 and under) ended up at A Ca Mia on short notice after a nearby seafood restaurant couldn’t accommodate us. A Ca Mia is child-friendly but more formal than what I think of as a “family restaurant.”
The staff of the restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The manager sat the children at a nearby but separate table and looked after them personally, allowing the adults to relax and enjoy dining out without interruptions. Right off the bat, she made the experience entertaining and engaging for the kids, so that they stayed quiet and content.
The restaurant is BYOB (though they do have some local wines). The wait staff brought us ice buckets for the beer, moved the carrying cases out of the way while we ate, and brought the cases back when we were leaving (all without being asked). They were attentive without hovering.
The food was delicious. The kids were happy. The adults were happy. It was exactly what a restaurant visit should be.
