I wish sushi was more affordable. Well, the way I eat...

4.5 stars for good nigiri sushi, interesting appetizers, courteous wait staff and sushi chefs, clean and relaxed environment. I’m leaving off a .5 star because the hostess was unwelcoming. They should have a friendlier person at the entrance of their restaurant.

Was treated to dinner here by a co-worker. I was a bit surprised, since I knew the bill would be fat. He has been there before many times, loves the place, and knew what interesting appetizers to order. A couple of these were a shrimp boat with quail egg and tempura battered shiitake mushrooms with real crab meat. The real crab meat really makes it happen!
I really enjoyed the hamachi, sake, smoked sake, uni, chutoro, and amaebi nigiri.

Anyway, between the three of us, the bill was $295. I thought it was going to be over $300. Two of us didn’t even drink alcohol to try and keep the bill down. My friend wouldn’t take the 100 spot I offered him. I felt like I had to do something. I imagine he just knew it was worth it to treat us to a really great dinner. That was way cool of him.

Hey Mike, when we going to Koi again??
