A & J’s is a great restaurant if you want cheap Chinese food served on the fly. Everything is pretty tasty and it all seems be Taiwanese style from what I understand. The only problem I had with this place was the portions. I wish they served more food. Atmosphere is great though…clean and pleasant.
Quick and easy Chinese
After not eating here for a long time, i finally ate here again with a friend. It is exactly how i remember it. Simple decoration and plain wooden tables. The menu doesn’t overwhelm you like other chinese restaurants but has what you came to A&J for: Noodles and Various small side dishes. Fortunately they have da jia mian (noodles with cucumber, meat, sauce, and sprouts) and a lot of noodle soups. And by side dishes, I mean stuff like little meat ‘sandwiches’ or dumplings. They also serve basic chinese breakfast stuff.
Basically, for a simple, relatively quick, but decent chinese meal, come here.

Noodles with Cucumber and Meat
I think the chinese name would be “da jia mien,” but i dunno. They didn’t overdo the sauce, which was a nice. If you can’t eat salty stuff, don’t get noodles, as these noodles and the noodle soups can taste pretty salty… but good.

Nyo Lo Sa Bing (Beef Pastry)
I think i’m totally screwing up the english spelling for these chinese dishes, but whatever. It is beef in a chinese bread with sesame seeds on it. Nice little side item for the noodles.
