Not for food snobs or anorexics!
Family dining AT IT’S BEST!!!!! Not just at best. Boondockers is the cleanest, friendlies restraunt in North Snohomish County. Yes that includes The over-rated places at the Everett Marina and Mukilteo. If You’re foolish enough to expect 4 michelin stars in Marysville, good luck. Any salad is stuff on lettuce. Have a burger at Boonies, it will make you smile!!!

Patty Melt
Perfecly grilled marble rye, juicy beef patty, grilled onions and melted swiss. Hand-cut golden fries. Nothing greasy.
Upscale?
This is family dining, at best. There’s nothing wrong with it if you just want a large calorie-laden meal, but I’d hardly call it upscale. The food is hearty and taste like something you’d get at any other family restaurant. Nothing special, but not bad either. Like most restaurants in this genre it suffers from too much saturated fat. If you’re looking for healthy dining, I hope you like salad and your waitress listens when you ask for dressing on the side. It is a disappointment that I can’t go and find a healthy, light meal at Boondockers.
There are salads, but they tend to be “lettuce with stuff on them” and when you break most of them down, they’re as unhealthy as most of the dishes. Besides, those of us who care about our health get tired of a choice of salad, salad, or chicken breast.

Salad Nicoise
Not too bad, although it had the right stuff, it really was just “lettuce with stuff on it”. The serving size was reasonable, and the tuna was fresh. Would have liked anchovies and capers.
really impressive
I’m a little upset that so many people prefer the old Boondockers in Lake Stevens to the new, upscale and elegant restaurant in Marysville. The old place was a small, one room fast food joint with burgers and shakes. The new place is much more striking!
The new place still has really amazing burgers and shakes, but they have expanded their menu to include a ton more too. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) they make is homemade, down to the salad dressings, breaded fish, soups, desserts, and sauces. That is really impressing, as most places use bottled or powdered sauces and dressings, and you hardly find any place that makes everything from scratch and has really good food. (I’m a retired chef so I can tell you this from experience).
The new place has a beautiful interior, impeccably clean with nice lighting. They have a large dining room, and then a smaller side room which the owner explained to me, can be reserved for banquets.
My wife and I went in the other night for dinner. They serve their burgers all day long, but I really would save the burgers for lunch as their dinner options are to die for.
I had the Top Sirloin, cooked Medium Rare with a baked potato and their Beef Barley soup. The soup was chock full of barley, steak pieces, and tons of spices. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and a good size. The baked potato came topped with butter, sour cream, and green onions. The steak and baked potato came on a nice oval platter with crisp tender vegetables in a light butter sauce. Very impressive.
My wife had their Garlic Prawn Fettuccini. It came on the same nice oval platter and was so delicious! The prawns complimented the alfredo garlic sauce brilliantly. The alfredo sauce, I’m told, is also homemade (what did I tell you!). All of this was topped with parmesan cheese. Also very impressive.
My wife had a hot tea and I had a glass of Columbia Crest Merlot. They also have beer, shakes, and lemonade (freshly squeezed, my waitress told me).
All in all, Boondockers is the place to go for a nice, upscale dinner, or a tasty lunch. I will be back for breakfast, I noticed on their menu that they have crepes (I haven’t seen any of these in Marysville yet) as well as Eggs Benedict, various omelets and scrambles, and waffles. Mmm!
The owners are also very nice and going in for a meal with real people to socialize with is a change that I definitely appreciate. I recommend this place as one of the best in Marysville!

excellent everything!
I love bringing my kids and wife here. I have two kids—a daughter who is 10 and a son who is 16. They have very different tastes in food but somehow at this place they both find something they like.
And then of course my wife and I love their dinner selections. I usually get their top sirloin but I’ve had the pot roast and chicken caesar salad before. My wife loves the fettuccine and their halibut dinner. My son always gets a burger, typical. My daughter will order something off the kids menu and she gets a drink and ice cream with her order too—very nice prices for kids meals. But I’d have to say my absolute favorite meal to order is the Boondocker burger. Amazing.
Service was very good and attentive. The place is well decorated and the music was not too loud. Prices are reasonable for a up scale dinner.

The Boony
HUGE burger bun with a big beef patty, bacon strips, and ham. With all the rest of the fixings. Almost couldn’t finish it, but wow, what a burger!
