This is one of the best places in town to meet people and enjoy an evening of conversation, dining, and of course drinking. Killer atmosphere, great food, and a huge selection of adult beverages have always been the draw for me when I’m in libertyville

A great vegetarian option. very tasty combination of pimento peppers stuffed with boursin cheese, over linguine tossed with grilled veggies

It’s Worth a Trip to Libertyville Looking for a fun lunch or dinner experience, then Firkin is the place to go. Definition of Firkin: 1. any small wooden vessel or cask 2. any of various British units of capacity usually equal to 1/4 barrel. Simply put Firkin is “all about the beer”. The 25 plus draft handles with some hard to find beers are one of the highlights of this restaurant. The service staff is well informed about the newest drafts that are tapped, and they also have super ideas on food pairings to go along with the beers. For tasting fun, they offer a half pint of most beers on draft. The food menu has many enticing options it can be hard to choose, don’t hesitate to ask the server for their opinion and they will be happy to suggest some of the Firkin’s best dishes. this salad is a meal in it’s self, I can’t resist deep fried goat cheese over mixed greens with grilled vegetables & a black olive dressing

Boneless Chicken breast with a light horseradish bread crumb, sauted and served with garlic potatoe, I think it’s with a chive oil too.

Cia Bello gelato is a superior vender, the pieces of malt balls with the malted ice cream is a tasty way to end a meal

Great food, great music, great beer!
I have been going to the Firkin for years. It is the coolest spot around to meet with friends, grab a few beers and hear some great live music. The food is amazing and the service is so helpful! Can’t wait to get back to the Firkin soon!
