Good food is the only redeeming quality.
I have only managed to get a table there once. Twice we tried to go and they’ve told us there are no tables even though we can clearly see empty tables and there was only one couple waiting. No one wants to wait two hours for a table and then have to spend another two hours there waiting for the waiter to show up with drinks, food, bill, etc. Our waitress took about 20 minutes to bring me an iced tea several times and overall ignored our table. I may consider trying to go there for lunch, see if it’s any better.
Joey's Diehard fan
I have loved Joey’s for years and I am always begging my boyfriend to take me there (he hates it). However, after my last experience I dont think that I’ll be going back for a very long time. The service was absolutely horrendous!!!! First of all we didn’t receive drinks until 20 min after we had sat down and then we asked for rice instead of the really greasy deep fried mashed potatoes that came with the salmon and the waitress assured us that the salmon came with rice (although the menu said otherwise). Sure enough, we got the potatoes. We had to ask three times for rice which finally arrived well after we were both done eating and without cutlery (which we had to ask for twice before we got it). In the meantime she did not check on us once or ask if we needed drink refills.
The food is ok but inconsistent. It used to be that when you had bad service or food Joey’s was really good about sending a manager over to discount it or give free dessert. I’ve loved Joey’s for so long that it makes me sad that it’s gone so downhill.
