great service…food was alright..i wouldn’t come back for the amazing food because it was just ehh

I don’t understand why this is the most popular restaurant in NYC as per the yearly Zagat Guides. Positives though were that the service was attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy. That’s about it since the food was good but very forgettable.

I happen to like this place at 1am. We got seasoned fries and this great tomato based seafood soup. My buddy got fish n chips which were awesome, and I really wanted to go back and try the 32oz steak on the menu, which was just a challenge. Wait-staff is very attractive if you’re into the whole model-look, and service is a bit slow, but food is good, not your typical diner cafe in-and-out deal.

Service is impeccable, atmosphere feels like you are in an upscale restaurant (which you are), but completely unpretentious and welcoming. And the food is wonderful! This summer there was a roasted onion risotto that was incredible, and all of their pastas are top-notch. A classic New York restaurant that you can enjoy time and time again.

Let’s be honest with ourselves here. The only reason people come to USC is because of the struggling model waitresses. As previously stated, the food is mediocre and so are the drinks. There are other restaurants in the area with much better fare and perhaps cheaper even. Unless you like people watching or waitress watching, there’s really nothing else about this place that draws me in.

Good, simple food. Great, friendly service. Always crowded.
