I was disgusted when a friend first described the Oki Dog to me. “That’s sick” may have been my first response. But she assured me it was awesome and they would always hit this place up after a night of clubbing on Sunset. So one day I am dragged to this grungy place after a clubbing and I reluctantly tried this Frankenstein-like atrocity called the OkiDog. Wow! AWESOME. My eyes rolled back in my head and devoured the strange burrito. So it became a regular thing after clubbing with my Rocker friends. And it would be crowded with other people from the strip that had been out.

Then one afternoon I took a friend there after shopping on Melrose. She was willing to try it and it was disgusting. I was embarrassed I exposed her to such a lowly and scary food item. Then i realized we were sober. I think you have to be drunk and/or stoned to love the mess of frank, pastrami, beans and cheese called the Oki-Dog.

I am sober right now. I suppose if I was drunk, I would give it more stars.
