Fried Chicken from a Cast Iron Pan
You go to the House of Soul for real Southern fried chicken, collards, mac n’ cheese, Southern cornbread (without sugar), yams, lima beans, and various other sides on different days of the week. This is the real thing, and Mama Soul runs her ministry next door. (I had to ask to find that out. Don’t expect to be preached to.) The fried chicken and the chicken n’ gravy, and the pork chops are excellent. The ribs are good but anyone can make good ribs. Plain cake is the best dessert.
