old school fine dining

i came here for a school function dinner, and from the outside, it may not look like much, but inside it’s very old school, supper club, slightly formal dining. the restaurant has been around for more than 50 years, and certain qualities of that milestone show in its ambience, cuisine, and service. the menu offered a variety of fresh seafood and meats, w/huge portion servings. the service was excellent – very friendly, courteous, and down-to-earth.

What I ate:
  • ***

the fish melts in your mouth – it’s pan fried and seasoned well. a little bit too oily for me, but finely cooked nonetheless.

  • ***

crispy, yet still soft enough to enjoy. and very flavorful – butter i think.

  • ****

you get such a big bowl! and it tastes deliciously homemade. it’s probably enough for 2 to share. powdered over w/a lot of cinnamon – i’d probably order it w/o the cinnamon next time.
