Almost Perfect

I had wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time because it looked very classy. When I finally had the opportunity, I was not dissapointed. The interior is very nice, soft lighting and dark colors. Our Waitress was great in every way, very helpful and appeared to be in a great mood. The menu was a little expensive but I decided to go for one of the highes priced items that they offered, the filet mingon, my fav! Once again, I was very content, the meat and its compliments were cooked very well. Although I would have liked the meat a little more rare but oh well, still one of the best filet’s that I have had in some time. As I said, everything was great, but my primary discrepancy was I felt that the snob level was a little high. Not from the staff, mind you, when you look at the menu, you will quickly see that you will get extra charges for menial things such as splitting a meal or a tab. The thing that caught me the most off guard was not the suggested tip amounts on the bill, but the percentages that they put. 18, 20, 22%
Whatever happened to 15? I suppose this is the norm now, but what’s next? How about this, I will decide what I feel is appropriate and I don’t need my hand being forced to overpay a tip and feel bad if I don’t.

What I ate:

Steak tasted fantastic, although a little too cooked for a medium. Brocoli and mashed potatoes on the side, both of which had some amazing seasoning. I will eventaully cough up the $38 again, I felt that it was worth it, although maybe they could have included a side salad into the price.
