Great Food, But What About the Vegans?

The ambiance was refined and relaxed. The music was downtempo and the popular stuff was the likes of Air (French Band). The service was attentive, prompt and smart. The building was well kept and interesting and in a great location. The food was hot and well and subtly flavoured and all-round just really delicious. I’d love to return to sample all of their menu.

The real detractor is the lack of a serious vegan dish on their menu – in this era of environmentalism, vegetarian just doesn’t cut it. Lacking even a token vegan dish limits the friends that I can take to the restaurant.

What I ate:
  • *****

Wild Salmon with Vegetables & Noodles. Most anything with coconut milk and lemongrass will get a thumbs up from me and this dish was no exception. The cooler crunchy friend noodles provided for a strong contrast of textures and temperatures where combined with with the flaky Salmon and piping hot noodles – an excellent aspect of this dish.
