I just went back today (took my visiting parents from Vancouver here) after I went earlier this week to the one in Bellevue with coworkers..

This one is much better.. They have a big patio (well, it’s out on the pier).. The service was better, and the food seemed a bit better too.. Fish was still moist and not a bit dry.. The snow and dungeonous crabs were really tasty!

But the service was definitely better than the Bellevue location!

Your key to salivation!

Seriously folks, if you haven’t been to the Crab Pot down on the Seattle waterfront and you love seafood, you don’t know what your missing. This place is a seafood lovers paradise on water.

Imagine if you will your ultimate seafood experience. If it’s high class you’re looking for with lots of different versions of the various utensils, go somewhere else. But if it’s having a large heaping bowl of seafood goodness dumped on your table, a bib tied around your neck, a mallet clutched in your hand, and a small wooden slab to crack crab on, welcome to heaven. I start salivating just thinking about it.

The first time my husband and I went here we were still dating. It was late July and we were celebrating his birthday. We’d spent the day riding the Ducks and trekking through the Underground Tour playing tourists (always fun, even for locals), and we were starving! We hiked down to the waterfront (which isn’t really all that far from Pioneer Square if you think about it) and headed straight to the Crab Pot. We proceeded to stuff ourselves silly with all the crab, shrimp and other goodies we could fit in our tummies. It made for the perfect ending for one of those rarest of days, the truly Perfect Day.

This is the only thing I order when I go to this restaurant. It’s the best value for your buck on the menu. Just remember to bring a friend because that price ($19.99) is per person and there’s a minimum of 2 people per order. Bring more and make a real feast out of it! The Westport consists of dungeness legs, snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, mussels, anduille sausage, corn on the cob, and red potatoes. You WILL leave stuffed and very very happy. This is seriously the best seafood in the city of Seattle and that’s saying something!
