Craving some Thai chicken curry...

I was craving some Thai chicken curry Friday night. I asked my husband to go and pick up some. He said he’ll try this restaurant that some friends from work have been to.

He brought home some Siamese Spring Rolls, Spicy Beef Salad, Chicken Curry and Beef with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce. I found the spring rolls to be dry and not that tasty. I think next time I’ll order the vegetarian version. The Spicy Beef Salad was good and really spicy hot—Whoa! I would’ve liked the Chicken Curry to be a bit thicker in consistency and have more depth of flavor. It seemed watered down. We picked up the beef with broccoli for our daughters. Our 3 year old ate most on her plate, while our 1 year old just ate the rice with the sauce. I tried it. I thought it was a bit too sweet. Wasn’t my thing.

I’ll give Pam’s Place a try again. They have Mee Krob on the menu which is one of my favorite Thai dishes. My husband was going to pick it up for me, but they said it will take 30-45 minutes to make. ??? I’ve yet to taste a good one here in Cali. I’ve been comparing it to this great Thai restaurant in Toronto and no other restaurant has come close. Maybe Pam’s Place will.

What I ate:
  • *

Dry. You get three pieces. Definitely not worth $6.95.

Good. Tasty. The hot is really hot!

There was not enough food. And it was a bit on the sweet side.

Was ok. Seemed as though the curry was watered down. Lots of bamboo shoots, not enough zucchini though.
