Great food, awesome people
This is one of those hole-in-the-wall gems that are so common and yet, so hard to find. The prices are comparable to other eastside sushi joints, but DO try their specials!
Their mizo soup is a religious experience, as is the teriaki salmon. Sushi is always top quality and very fresh, but really it’s the people that make it special — your wait staff are always there for you.
Ambiance is consistent with your average hole-in-the-wall, but never dingy. Selection is wide, and presentation very artful. Your dead giveaway would be the disproportionate number of SE Asian-looking patrons on any given day.
A definite must-try restaurant and my personal favorite. If you’re looking for trendy, this is not your place. If you’re looking for cheap, this is not it, either. If you’re looking for quality and value for your dollar, this is the place to be.

A decent Japanese place, but it may be just that
At least when I went there, it didn’t feel special enough that I’d want to come back over and over. It may be because of the overpriced toro that I had that was not fatty at all. Disappointed with that actually. But the rest of the food was alright.

Toro
Do not get this here if you don’t want to waste money. Maybe you’ll be lucky, but might as well as get it at a place where it’ll be good for sure.
