Used to be a regular at the Heather when I...
Used to be a regular at the Heather when I worked in the area but this visit was to get together with some friends for some real Irish food and it was terrific as usual.
The smoked salmon and pint of prawns were great – great flavours but not overdone. Hard to beat the bangers and mash as well. We originally planned on hitting their sister shop, Salt, for some meats and cheeses but chose to order up the Heather’s own meats and cheeses which were outstanding. If the charcuterie is any indication the stuff at Salt is well worth a try.
I love the Heather for the terrific atmosphere it presents, sitting in the back on a chilly day with friends is a great way to imagine that you’re in Dublin.

Great selection of beers and whiskeys, great food, great friends, awesome staff. Who can ask for anything more?
Tap list includes Harp, Guinness, Kilkenny, Smithwicks, Kronenburg, Strongbow. Very extensive whiskey selection at the Shebeen.
Best bangers & mash in town, followed by the meatloaf and the chicken schnitzel.
