Came across this place a few years ago and always looking forward to another return.
Cafe Asean is a quaint, rustic inspired South Asian eatery. I usually stick with the appetizers, which is much easier to share with friends. It is akin to South Asian dim sum…..
My ultimate favorite appetizers are:
Ghaw Chee (steamed shrimp and chives dumpling)
Chien Dai (shrimp crab meat and peas dumpling)
Satay (chicken or pork)
Ped Muan – if they have it (roast duck)
I would take heed with the Cha Gio Ca (salmon spring roll) – salmon tends to be on the dry side.
Treat yourself to the sheltered outdoor garden – a real bonus to the meal.

One of my favorite places in the village. GREAT South-Asian food that combines a of Malaysian, Indian and Thai flavors. It’s a tiny place that has a beautiful garden in the back.Very peaceful atmosphere; a great place to go in the summer. Try the Indian stir-fry noodles and the Thai red curry with pumpkin :)
