Cafe Ole has a fantastic patio, very good and friendly service, and tasty Mexican meals.
We’ve eaten there several times and always enjoyed ourselves, especially when sharing a table with friends on the patio. Cafe Ole doesn’t have a liquor license, so they can’t serve mixed drinks, but they serve beer and wine, and they make a really tasty, refreshing margarita-like drink out of agave wine — try it, you’ll like it. Along with a drink you can start out the meal with some warm chips and very good salsa.
Cafe Ole offers a mostly-familiar assortment of burritos and enchiladas. The combo dishes come with fantastic beans and rice: Not greasy, fresh-tasting, and flavorful. One strength of the menu is that it has a range of (clearly identified) vegetarian, vegan, and wheat-free possibilities, usually made with beans, spinach, and squash.
Most recently I had a combo including green chile pork enchiladas. I enjoyed it: the green chile had a lot of flavor and the pork was moist. It was a fine dish and one I would have again. Another great option is the burrito, which is huge, full of moist hot meat and beans, and can be ordered enchilada style (red or green sauce; spicy and great) for extra hotness.
After a handful of visits I would definitely recommend Cafe Ole. If you’re up for well-done Mexican staples and especially if you’re looking for vegetarian options, do give it a try.
