Disappointment! This restaurant came highly recommended and we were looking forward to a great Monday evening. The half full facility was excellent. Nice intimate size and layout. However, things went downhill from there. Service was slow and inadequate at best. The place was less than half full and it seemed like it took forever before a waitress appeared to take our drink order. The menu was sufficient and we proceeded to order with anticipation of a great meal. One bread basket was presented to our table of six. It contained about six to eight pieces of sour dough bread which were not much bigger in size than a silver dollar that were accompanied by small plastic packets of butter. We requested a couple more bread baskets to accompany our dinner. Only one was delivered. The most popular order was the $13.50 spaghetti with choice of meat balls or sausage. My entrée contained one sausage about the size of a small hot dog on a paltry serving of spaghetti. I traded half of that sausage for one of just two meat balls with another of our party. The red marinara sauce was judged to be somewhat bland as was the sausage. The meatball was good. The spaghetti appeared to not have been drained and was watery. Our party of six included a grandmother who was along for the ride but not hungry and ordered just spumoni and a five year old grandson who chose the $6.50 child portion of spaghetti and meat ball. The spumoni looked wonderful. Drinks amounted to 5 glasses of wine and one soda. I asked for the check and handed the waitress a credit card. I received a credit card slip totaling over $100.00 but no itemized bill for our party of six. The dining experience reminded me of my child hood days when my mother preformed her daily miracle of the loaves and fishes. We went home hungry and disappointed. We do not plan to return.
Note the “Reviews” section of their web site; “If you have thoroughly enjoyed your dining experience, we would love to hear about it. Please take time to send us your feedback.”
Only wanting to hear about ‘enjoyed’ experiences might be a clue.

02/22/2009This was my favorite italian restaurant when I moved to AZ in 2003. The pasta sauce was great and the prices even better. I could get an entire spaghetti with meat sauce meal including bread and salad for 9.99. Then the restaurant changed management and increased prices and decreased flavor. I will not eat there again.
