The restaurant is associated with Tyler Florence of Food Network fame. It’s open 24 hours a day, and is great whenever you need some comfort food (it’ll definitely clog your arteries).

Decor/Ambiance: Hip and modern. Not at all like a cafeteria. Mixed crowd. Good for groups, and dates as well (but can get loud).

Service: Always nice but slow.

Would I go here again? Yes. It’s hours can’t be beat, ambiance is great, and you can usually count on a decent meal.

I will definitely go back, there were other pancakes on the menu that I wanted to try also. It seemed like cool place to just sit around with people. Weird atmosphere, but weird in a good way. Not what you’d expect from a diner type of place. Place was clean. I sat at tables outside which were nice. I guess I was people watching which is easy to do. People are quirky.

Lemon Riccotta pancakes were really tasty. Decent amount of food. I was eyeing the blackberry lemonade, but it was $5.00 and no way I would spend that much on a drink. Cost $10.00filled me up, tasted great, service very nice.

I had water. I was gonna get coffee, but even the coffee was $4.50 – food was relatively cheap. Keeper.

Went to Cafeteria a few days ago, and although the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was nice, the food was not up to par as all the reviews say. The service was not as bad as most state. I was expecting to be served by pretentious waiters, but I was caught by surprise when they served no different than a regular restaurant. The staff was polite, but a bit slow and that may have been due to the fully packed restauant. As for the food, I ordered the macaroni and cheese with bacon because of the great reviews for it. I was fully disappointed by my order. It was an exceptionally creamy macaroni and cheese, but definitely nothing to write home about. I also ordered a side of green beans and garlic. At least this was up to par, but I’d like to think its difficult to screw up green beans. A friend of mine ordered the special for the day which was the fried catfish. The main protein was delicious. Perfectly breaded and seasoned. As for the the corn bread, collard greens, and whipped sweet potatoes that came with the catfish, I must speak highly against it. The corn bread tasted like some awful health food that was dry and without flavor. The collard greens were extremely salty. (Felt like I was going to have a spurt of hypertension when I tried them) And the sweet potatoes had no flavor except for what sweet potatoes taste like. I was expecting maybe a hint of butter or a hint of brown sugar, but it was definitely a disappointment as well. I’d say the restaurant is worth going to once just to experience it. But, I know I have no plans of returning again. I can find a much better restaurant with much better food for a better value.

The food’s good, but it’s the ambience that brings me back. Great late-night option.

I’m only giving this place three stars because I’ve been here several times and the service is ridiculous. I know that it’s a “trendy” restaurant and all, opened around the clock, but the service is pretty bad, both waiting to get seated and then taking orders to serving orders and then waiting around some more for the bill. The only reason I go here is because I really do enjoy their eggs benedict brunch platter, the one with the salmon. I’m not too fond of the rest of the menu, and I’ve been to other places, but Cafeteria by far serves that dish the way I like it. If you can stand the crowd and the overbearing staff, by all means go, otherwise try your luck elsewhere.

the food is ok but its a nice trendy place to hang at like 3am.. the mussels are pretty good.. everything else is bleeeh.

great late nite dining spot for people who like to eat better than diner food. a short wait but well worth it. i recommend the mac and cheese w/ truffle oil
