I love Canton Cooks. It is by far one of the best Cantonese restaurants that I have ever eaten at in Atlanta. We might convert our holiday “Brunch” Club meetings to dinner meetings at CC, the food is that good, and it pleases pretty much everyone. The dishes are mid-sized so you have to gauge a little exactly how much to order if you have a large party. We found that 10 dishes somewhat fills a party of 13.
Generally speaking, most of their dishes are pretty good. A couple of the dishes we had this past Thursday night at the Brunch club dinner meeting was:
1) sweet sour pork – okay
2) spicy eggplant – great
3) fried oysters – who doesn’t love oysters? and fried!!
4) snow pea tips – okay, but we got it for the greens
5) steamed sea bass – GREAT
6) salt and pepper squid – GREAT
7) seafood panfried noodles – GREAT
8) seafood hotpot – so,so. Hotpot is hard to do well…
It might be a little difficult to find because its tucked away at the far end of a shopping complex. Even with GPS and having gone there twice already, I still missed the turn into the complex. But still, definitely worth it!
