First off, this place looks awesome! It’s a Wild Bill Texas Style Tequila bar meets a dark and moodily lit Vampire Hangout. The menu is Tex-Mex. We started with the Chilean Rock Crab Cakes, which tasted like Hawaii. They are seared in Habanero and served in a coconut pineapple cream sauce that can only remind you of a Pina Colada.
The Grilled Stuffed Jalapenos, look like roasted cocks, and were mildly spicy and crazy tasty. They were stuffed with goat cheese and roasted garlic and then wrapped in bacon and served with a great ranch dressing. They are a must have.
The Pan Seared Sea Scallops are spicy coated, seared and served with a roasted tomatillo cream sauce and topped with tomato relish. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and were good but nothing
amazing. The Enchiladas Verde with Carnitas was the best I’ve ever had. The pork was juicy, tender and full of flavor and the verde sauce was just spicy enough. However, their rice and black beans suck. I would highly recommend Casa Del Matador, for the most part the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was just really cool.
