Ms Tootsie's fun for the ocassion

Ms. Toosie’s is absolutely the best. There is no other place I would want to go for a special ocassion like a date or a birthday or even just to go there. The food is just so tasty. I loved their pork chops, they were made just the way I like them. Moist, full of meat, and not ridiculously oily. That’s the only way to make it, and Ms Tootsie’s did just that. this restaurant has truly out done itself. Everyone should check it out just to agree that it is the best!

Great overall dining experience

Eating at Ms. Tootsie’s is more than just going out to dinner, it’s “brotherly love” on a plate. The dining room is cozy yet chic, the staff are welcoming and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. The portions are large, so you won’t go home hungry, but make sure you save room for dessert! I will definitely be back again soon!

City's Best Soul Food — Hands Down!

Ms. Toostie’s is the place to go for Philly’s best soul food. Portions are huge and the food is delicious. We’ve been coming for here for years and the place gets better and better. Service is spot on — put not too much. Just a great place to enjoy a meal in a laidback atmosphere. I can’t wait to go again and bring more people to try it.

no doubt — this is the Philly’s best fried chicken, it’s crispy, hot and never greasy. Now why can’t I do that at home?

soul food for the soul

Ms Tootsies may present itself as more “upscale” than most soul food restaurants, but the food comes straight from its roots. This a great place to escape back to your southern roots and enjoy some comfort food. If you’re not from the south, then this restaurant will make you wish you grew up in the south!

The menu is has a good selection (though missing mashed potatoes and gravy) and service friendly and boisterous.

There signature tropical iced tea comes in a “take-home” cups that are actually squirt water bottles. Everyone at the restaurant gets it (and I mean everyone) and it doesn’t disappoint.

What I ate:

    mine was cooked too well-done
