Excellent hole-in-the-wall-ish patisserie, with feather-light, buttery-soft pastries (I have to try and stop using hyphens…) Tarte aux pommes is great, and coffee is silky-rich, i.e. not the usual American brew that you can keep drinking all day like water, thank goodness.

Rush, rush, rush to this tiny french bakery. Have a wonderfully rich cup of coffee with the best croissants in New York (Balthazar for croissants is a close second, along with Patisserie Claude in the West Village). Great, little place. If you are in the vicinity you must go.
