it's not really irish -- can it be really good?
i’m not someone who usually hits up chains; i can pass by all the TGIFridays and Outback Steakhouses without blinking an eye. But I went with my father when we both had the taste for burgers. (“Can you call me your ‘dining companion’?”, he asked. Sure, Dad.) we had to sort through the screaming menus to find what we wanted, but once we did, it was worth it.
oh, and after we both kind of stared at the little stopwatch attached to the table that read, “your lunch comes in 15 minutes or it’s free!”
& the decor was totally corny. but once you close your eyes and bite into your burger, really, it’s all totally moot.
(plus the drink menu looked really cool. it was 2 pm (too early to imbibe) but slurp-yum!)

i actually got the guinness burger, a special. it had a beer sauce which was nicely sweet, fried onions, and bacon. and a toasty bun. that’s a good burger. and the fries were nicely fried and seasoned.

GRILLED CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH
my dining companion got a variation on this (a roasted chicken breast with guac on it) and he was very content. “this is a good sandwich,” he said. “put that on menuism.”
