The Merion Inn shares a good reputation in town. I recall the first time I dined there was for my 5th grade graduation. It was my choice to go there. The restaurant is fine, classically American. Even so, I soon realized this is the nice restaurant every area has, but it is not notable. I soon was over my infatuation with the restaurant.
The steaks are good and they serve fresh seafood. The atmosphere is nice and it conjures an upscale restaurant. The problem is that The Merion Inn shares a border with The Mad Batter, is a few blocks from 410 Bank Street, etc. It is a fine restaurant in a town full of great restaurants. There is no reason to dine here when there are so many other places to in town.
