Dining at Chandler’s was a truly disappointing experience and quite painful on the wallet.
We started out with the Calimari which was tasty but overcooked and rubbery. The lime pesto that came with it was delicious but two teaspoons wasn’t enough to compliment the generous serving.
I had the Cesar salad which had a nice anchovie kick to it but it was smothered in grated parmesan which tended to overwhelm. The croutons didn’t seem to be house made but since there were only three of them I can’t be sure.
The house salad was something I would expect at a restaurant charging a fraction of the price.
The crabcake entre was delicious but at more than $30 I thought it a bit steep for two silver dollar sized cakes. Also, the basmati rice that was served with the crabcakes was dry and mealy.
The final insult to injury was when the waitstaff delivered the check they tried to sell us on a “Platinum Club” deal that was also honored at Ben Bridge Jewelers!
Further proof that fine dining is no place for corporations.
