Description: Chandler's Crabhouse is a Seafood, Barbecue, and Steak restaurant where most Menuism users paid more than $50.
Tags: Seafood, Takeout, Barbecue, Steak, American, Delivery, Worst, Crab, Chandler, and Casual Elegant
Tips:
  • $3 appetizers, wine, beer and specialty cocktails (Daily 3pm-6pn, 9pm-close).
  • Don't be so quick to follow the host to the dining room; the lively, less-serious service and open bar is also a fine location for cracking your crab.
  • Chandler's plan is to keep you warm enough to satisfy your desire for alfresco dining any season. Still, you'll be dining just off Lake Union where temperatures may spike, bring along a sweater to be safe.
  • They offer valet service, just be sure to grab your validation after dinner.

Most Expensive Mediocre Dinner Ever

Dining at Chandler’s was a truly disappointing experience and quite painful on the wallet.

We started out with the Calimari which was tasty but overcooked and rubbery. The lime pesto that came with it was delicious but two teaspoons wasn’t enough to compliment the generous serving.

I had the Cesar salad which had a nice anchovie kick to it but it was smothered in grated parmesan which tended to overwhelm. The croutons didn’t seem to be house made but since there were only three of them I can’t be sure.

The house salad was something I would expect at a restaurant charging a fraction of the price.

The crabcake entre was delicious but at more than $30 I thought it a bit steep for two silver dollar sized cakes. Also, the basmati rice that was served with the crabcakes was dry and mealy.

The final insult to injury was when the waitstaff delivered the check they tried to sell us on a “Platinum Club” deal that was also honored at Ben Bridge Jewelers!

Further proof that fine dining is no place for corporations.
