If you want authentic pizza, Dominos and Pizza Hut aren’t going to cut it. So then it comes down to an upgraded regular pizza, thin crust or deep dish. Cheeseboard offers thin crust pizza. The cheese here is of the best quality and comes from next door where you can buy the cheese on its own.
There’s only one type of pizza and it changes everyday. Depending which kind of pizza you get, I guess the experience can be a yay or a nay.
My one complaint? Price. Thin crust pizza to me is the biggest ripoff in the world. Considering deep dish can run for the same price, I’m obviously getting 3 times more volume with deep dish. $18 for a thin crust pizza seems a tad pricey.
The eating experience can be a fun one. A live band is present at times, and if it’s too crowded indoors, plenty of people flock to the median where you can watch traffic from Shattuck Ave. flow around you. Apparently there are signs telling you not to do so, but hey, I’ve always seen people on the grass when I drive by.
If you want fake cheese, go with Pizza Hut. If you want greasy, stick to Blondies or Fat Slice. If you want disgusting, go with Dominos. If you want to stuff yourself, go with deep dish. If you want light yet flavorful pizza, and on top of that a fun experience, go with Cheeseboard.
