5.0I am a dessert FIEND, and Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in NYC is my most favorite ice cream place ever. It’s a pretty small shop in the middle of New York City’s Chinatown, but it’s far from unknown. Both times I went here it was a cold and rainy day, and despite the cold and rain, there were definitely people still buying ice cream. I’m a big wuss when it comes to the cold, but even I couldn’t pass up a chance for Chinatown Ice Cream!
So there are two things that make this place great. The first is the sheer variety of flavors. It has all your typical Asian flavors – mango, green tea, lychee… but it had a few I’ve never had before, such as Almond cookie ice cream. And let me tell you – that ice cream tasted just like an almond cookie. Oh, it was so amazing. The quality of the ice cream is also spectactular… perfectly cream, perfectly sweet. I love this place!
Absolutely my favorite ice cream on the planet… so far!

5.0super rich and dense with great chew. can’t beat the original asian-inspired flavors: black sesame seed, mango. satisfies eastern and western palates. git a t-shirt on the side. who sez asians don’t make good dessert?!
