Chopsticks Inn is a charming little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in La Mesa. The service is good, and the food is GREAT! I am a vegetarian who has certain preparation requests, and they honor my requests quite faithfully. I especially recommend Buddha’s Medallions to any veg-heads out there. Chopsticks Inn also will cook any dish you like using “fake meat”.

From the friendly welcome to the comfortable decor, this place is extremely inviting. The hostess welcomes everyone who comes in as though they are good friends. She was also our waitress and was very attentive and playful with my 5 year old daughter. It was definitely a pleasure to eat here.

The food is tasty and comes in very generous portions. We share the Hot and Sour Soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. There were no extremes in flavors and everyhting was very fresh. None of the dishes I tried were the best I ever had but the were good and the service made it worth returning.

The variety was great. There were dishes for vegetarians, sushi lovers and a full chinese menu. Even better was the American food options, should you bring non-adventurous eaters with you. I look forward to trying more dishes out in the future.

The best Chinese in the county! Anna, the owner, is a meticulous chef and teacher of her sous-chefs and each dish is a delight, each with its own character. New to the menu is a full Japanese menu including sushi, tempura, teriyaki, udon noodles, etc. and as well, Thai specialities. A full vegetarian menu too with almost every dish on the regular menu tastily prepared with healthful protein substitutes. She will take the time to help you with the menu and with your selections so that you get a complementary array of dishes. Great for larger group dinners, parties, events, too, as CI has 2 full storefronts of space.
