It took me a while to find this place. Must say though, I was pretty impressed by my meal, the service and the decor. Went when they were offering prix-fixes so I can’t speak to the regular menu except that it’s very pricey so it made the prix fixe worth it.

(Perry St. and the West Side Highway—far West Village). If the idea of sparse, white tables, a Zen-feeling, and homemade drinks like lemon and thyme soda sound appealing, head to Jean-Georges masterpiece, Perry St. Again, like DB&D, they have an excellent 3-course weekly lunch menu. Their dinner should be in the expensive category, but if you want a calm, relaxing place in a wide-open space (most NYC places would have doubled or tripled the tables that they put down in a space like this), Perry St. will definitely not disappoint. Desserts are excellent.
