BBQ Heaven
after a round-about taxi ride (w/a questionable taxi driver), we finally arrived at this quite popular bbq establishment for lunch – and to much satisfaction, oklahoma joe’s lived up to all my expectations of a deliciously meaty bbq meal! if i ever find myself in kansas city again, i would gladly make another trip to oklahoma joe’s…in a flash.

deliciously pulled, sweet, tender, and not over gobbed w/sauce (maybe even not enough). goes great w/the creamy cole slaw

Another BBQ winner!
There is just too much great bbq in this city! This restaurant shares space with a Shamrock Gas Station. The locale is peculiar but the food is amazing! Tender ribs, tasty pulled pork and as they claim, “the best french fries in Kansas City”!
I saw this restaurant on the food network and had to try it right away!

Just like in the Carolinas, they put the spicy slaw right on top of the meat in this tasty sandwich. It is awesome!
