Underwhelming Japanese Food

Since I seem to try a new japanese restaurant each time I come home, this place was next on the list. The atmosphere was decent, the normal japanese interior and feel. The service was also what I come to expect. Four stars for this stuff.

The food, though, was not very good compared to other japanese I’ve eaten. I got a pork cutlet (with some sweet sauce and veggies on it) and sashimi combo. The cutlet’s sauce was a little overpowering and the pork itself was just okay. Some of the sashimi was okay, but I was forced to one-bite most of them since I couldn’t bite them into pieces very well (i don’t like that). Food gets 2.5 stars.

There are better japanese places to go to in irvine, but maybe if you’re feeling lazy you can eat here.
